First quests will be very simple because this is not high priority at first to get the game running. Once Skills, Items and Battle is working as planned, then more focus will be put on quests and questing. These are some thought on how the quests will be.
Quest Dialog Edit
Much effort will be put into dialog between NPCs and players. The NPC will say something and the player have some dialog options to choose between, depending on attribute values and skills. The choices in the dialog does effect what happens in the quest. There are no turning back on any selection, what is said is said. After the dialog the quest is stored in the questlog and the player has to continue solving the quest as good as possible. Different quests has different outcome, some will be simple, some trigger follow-up-quests that possibly can create an infinite chain of quests.
Random Quests Edit
There will be many random quests generated by different parameters creating a very large amount of possible quest variations. Setting, for example, 5 parameters with 5 variations each does generate over 3000 quests. This should keep most players busy for a while. These quests also will have randomly generated rewards (within certain limits of course).
