Characters will battle a lot, mostly monsters and NPCs, sometimes villages or even cities, and occasionally other players as well. All battles in Web of Tales are real time, but they are stilistic and most is done with icons and dialogs and very little animation and cool visual effects. Use your imagination instead!
Technically battles will be as realistic as possible, encapsuled behind a simple and easy to understand interface. You can make it as advanced as you like or let the computer do all the work for you.
Scripts and Macros Edit
To make battles even more simple in real time, you can create scripts and macros that define how your character will behave in battle. This way you can entrust your character to a friend, by joining a team where your friend is leader, and while you go and make dinner your character will make it well in the team just the way you planned.

Minions battle each other Edit
All minions will battle other minions first, then attack other characters when all minions are dead. Still a character with lots of minions will easily beat another character without any minions no matter how much more powerful that character is, almost. A deity will be very difficult to beat for any army of simple minions no matter how many. Minions attack in a separate loop than characters and in a different way, so there are actually two battlesystems within the game.
